INSIZE Thread Pipe Gauge 4177 dirancang sebagai alat ukur limit gauge untuk perbandingan ulir pipa migas presisi sesuai dengan American Standard API License API 7-2.

INSIZE Thread Pipe Gauge 4177 diproduksi untuk memeriksa Diameter Pitch dan Thread Fungsional. Pengukur ulir digunakan untuk memastikan kecocokan ulir kawin bagian fastener tersebut dalam ukuran REG, NC/IF, FH. 

Dalam fabrikasi produk yang menggunakan fastener dan mirip dengan alat pengukur block gauge, Plug gauge INSIZE Thread Pipe Gauge 4177 dijual dengan nilai akurasi yang berbeda. Semakin tinggi grade, semakin rendah varians yang diijinkan dari diameter nominal. Toleransi diameter ini bervariasi, dalam setiap tingkatan, berdasarkan pada diameter nominal
