PT. Medco Energy Indonesia sarulla project
The Sarulla Geothermal Power Plant is located in North Sumatra with total capacity of 3 x 110 MW operated by Medco Power Indonesia, together with partners Inpex, Itochu, Ormat and Kyushu Electric (Sarulla Consortium). The Sarulla geothermal power plants are being developed in three phases each with a capacity of 110 MW. The first plant reached its Commercial Operation Date (COD) in March 2017. The remaining two units each of 110 MW capacity, was finished in October 2017 and in May 2018, respectively.
Maintenance Technician Mechanical
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance works on the Power Plant
mechanical systems and components employing standard and current troubleshooting
methods/procedures and in compliance with proper quality and safety standards;
Conduct periodic mechanical systems inspection and prepare evaluations/reports
regarding its condition performance and eminent abnormalities;
Implement mechanical components upgrading/modifications as instructed;
Inspect and monitor contracted-out mechanical maintenance works and prepares
corresponding reports;
Implement proper and systematic safekeeping and inventory of tools/equipment;
Perform maintenance work such as overhauling, repair, calibration, and testing of all plant
mechanical equipment based on established manufacturer standards;
Report immediately to his superior any indications of abnormal conditions based on
established standards set by the department;
Perform Call-Out and On-call duties as required by operations to minimize or prevent plant
downtime;
Assist the Operations Section during start up, test and initial operation of newly
overhauled plant equipment facilities and ensure that the equipment and control are in
good operating condition and optimum reliability
Troubleshoot and recommend appropriate actions or solutions to eliminate future
reoccurrences;
Requirements:
Graduate of Diploma 3 Degree preferably in Mechanical Electrical/Computer or Electronics
Engineering
Minimum 5 years technical experience in power plants or similar heavy industry
Good planning and computer programming skills
Good communication and reporting skills both verbal and in writing, specifically in English
Having experiences in multi-national project development performed in various countries
Willingness to work on weekends, holidays and overtime as necessary;
