Industrial revolution 4.0 is a Mayday call On May Day

In the late 19th century, May Day was chosen as the date for International Workers’ Day by the Socialists and Communists of the Second International to commemorate the Haymarket affair in Chicago. An extra day to unwind from daily routines while keeping the balance between working life of a system and enjoying life as a human beings.

The roots of May Day itself has always been a traditional festivities throughout the centuries in villages around European – Roman empirium. May Day is associated with agricultural pagan culture in celebrating springtime fertility (of the soil, livestock, and people) and revelry with village fetes and community gatherings. By this date, the seeding season has been completed and it was convenient to grace farm labourers a day off. In contrary, “Mayday” itself is a distress signal codes popularized by Frederick Stanley Mockford (1897–1962), a senior radio officer at Croydon Airport in London, from the French “m’aider”, a shortened version of “venez m’aider” which means “come and help me”.
